Women’s Waterfowl Hunt-Butte Sink-BCIR and SB-Nov 10-11 2020
BOW women will enjoy a mentored hunt at the two-club powerhouse we call the Butte Sink Hunting, Conservation and Education Center.
Hunters gather on the afternoon of Tuesday, Nov 10, for a great dinner and camaraderie, hunt in pairs with optional mentors on Wednesday morning from stand-up blinds in natural marsh, then enjoy a celebratory lunch with the whole group. This hunt is appropriate for all levels of licensed hunters; our volunteer guides will be available for anyone.
Price: $250 (includes food and lodging)
Who may attend: Women 21 and older
Cancellation: $230 refund if we can fill your spot (cost of camp minus $20 cancellation fee); no refund if you cancel too late for us to fill the spot. Participant retains membership benefit in the event of cancellation.
Do I need a hunting license? Yes everyone needs a 2020-21 hunting license with Federal Duck Stamp, state duck validation and HIP validation.
How do I sign up? Click the register tab to sign up.
Can I bring my hunting dog? Many of our mentors have their own dogs to hunt over. If you are interested in bringing your dog for our hunt, you must contact the coordinator before signing up. All dogs must be kept in a dog crate or vehicle when you are not hunting.
Where does the hunting take place? The hunting takes place at either our Butte Creek Island Ranch or Sanborn hunt properties. All blinds are stand up blinds.
What do I bring?
-Hunting gear: valid 2020-21 California hunting license, HIP stamp/validation, ear and eye protection, 2-4 boxes of steel (non-toxic) ammunition, gun, gun case, waders, jacket, boots/closed toed shoes, hat, gloves, camera,windbreaker.
I do not have the necessary hunting gear, what can I do? If you do not have the necessary hunting gear please contact Sarahbeth Gonsalves at 559-972-3441 or at firstname.lastname@example.org. California Waterfowl will lend gear for the weekend.
Do I need prior shotgun shooting experience? Yes, prior shotgun shooting experience is necessary. If you have no prior shooting experience please call Sarahbeth Gonsalves.
