ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Completed 5 years of waterfowl evaluations and monitoring
of the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP) in California
(2002-2006).
• Participated in California’s annual breeding pair
survey for 15 consecutive years to monitor California’ breeding
waterfowl populations.
• Since inception of the banding program in 1985, 139,000
birds have been leg banded in California under CWA’s banding
permit.
• Summer banding crew’s leg banded over 4,600 mallards
and 1,500 northern pintails in 2006.
• Summer banding crews leg banded 12 different species
of waterfowl in 2006.
