SPEAK UP!
It’s time to share your passion and save what you love. Most non-hunters aren’t anti-hunting, they are simply uninformed. We hunters must overcome our reservations and promote hunting’s positive attributes at every opportunity. Here are a few points to share as you get the conversation started. JOIN US in the hunt for a better California!
We Give: Healthy Wildlife Populations: Legal, regulated hunting plays an important role in keeping wildlife populations healthy. Hunted species are thriving, and most are more plentiful now than 100 years ago.
Commitment: Hunters work hard to ensure nature’s sustainability, capably managing the habitat and wildlife populations in order to sustain them indefinitely.
Habitat: Of remaining wetlands in CA, 60% are privately owned and maintained year-round thanks to hunters. Nearly all public wetlands are funded by hunter’s contributions as well.
Time and Money: Hunters are conservation’s #1 supporters, contributing nearly $1.3 billion a year in the U.S. No other group provides a greater source of funds or the political will to conserve habitat and wildlife than hunters.
We Gain: Food:Nation-wide, 97% of hunters eat what they kill and wild game is food with flavor. It’s also healthier for you and better for the environment.
Connections: Hunters are directly connected to nature and learn intimately what it means to be part of the circle of life. Legal, regulated hunting shows us first hand how we all fit into the same ecosystem.
Family Ties: Time with friends and family in nature is made more meaningful with the shared involvement in the hunt and preparation of our food, which deeply connects us to it and each other.
A Grateful Heart:Hunters understand and revere their quarry. Hunted species live freely, die humanely, and nourish grateful hunters and their families.
