POST SEASON YOUTH WATERFOWL HUNT DAYS
February 3 and 4, 2007 have been designated for special youth hunts on both public and private lands for most of California.* This is an excellent opportunity to bring young people from your family or neighborhood out to enjoy a day in the blind. Many state wildlife areas and federal refuges will be open for junior hunters on these days. Juniors can also hunt without a reservation. In the past, most public areas have had plenty of available spaces.

Also, any private hunt clubs (except those in the Northeastern California Zone) can allow juniors to hunt waterfowl on these days, so hunters should consider holding their own youth hunts. See below for more information on hosting.
