FREE EDUCATOR WORKSHOP OFFERED BY CWA

On April 17th, 2007, the California Waterfowl Association’s education department will be offering a free workshop for educators on using our valuable Wild About Wetlands Kits.

What are Wild About Wetlands Kits?

  • Up to a month of science based lessons
  • Minimal preparation
  • Hands on Activities
  • Lessons about wildlife and wetlands
  • All materials included
  • Cross Curricular (English, social science, mathematics and biology)
  • California State Standards correlated
  • Free to use
  • Located all over Northern California

What will educators learn at the workshop?

  • What are wetlands? Why should you teach about them?
  • How are the kits organized?
  • Hands on training for using the kits
  • Introduction to CWA

“The kit is a superb resource and one which is especially useful for teaching about adaptations, ecosystems, and habitat”, says Suzanne Nakashima (Lincrest Elementary School, Yuba City).
