FREE EDUCATOR WORKSHOP OFFERED BY CWA
On April 17th, 2007, the California Waterfowl Association’s education department will be offering a free workshop for educators on using our valuable Wild About Wetlands Kits.
What are Wild About Wetlands Kits?
- Up to a month of science based lessons
- Minimal preparation
- Hands on Activities
- Lessons about wildlife and wetlands
- All materials included
- Cross Curricular (English, social science, mathematics and biology)
- California State Standards correlated
- Free to use
- Located all over Northern California
What will educators learn at the workshop?
- What are wetlands? Why should you teach about them?
- How are the kits organized?
- Hands on training for using the kits
- Introduction to CWA
“The kit is a superb resource and one which is especially useful for teaching about adaptations, ecosystems, and habitat”, says Suzanne Nakashima (Lincrest Elementary School, Yuba City).
