CWA Youth Hunt Program

Frequently asked Questions

Where are the hunts being held?
The hunts are being hosted by the Community Youth Center of Concord at Grizzly Island Ranch in the Suisun Marsh and Rancho Esquon in Durham.  There will be only one youth hunter / blind with a chaperone.

How am I selected for the hunts?
The hunt dates will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Successful entries will be posted on the website and sent an email with driving directions and hunt details. If the hunt date/location is not listed on the registration page, the hunt is either filled or not being offered on that date.

Does it cost anything?
The hunts cost $50 and includes overnight lodging, light breakfast, 3.5 hour hunt, lunch and CWA Sprig membership.

Additional registration information
The registration form asks for your top 3 choices of hunt dates as well as credit card information. We will attempt to give you 1st choice, 2nd choice and then 3rd choice. You will be notified via email what hunt date you have been given. If we are unable to give you any of your 3 choices, you will get a full refund. If you do not show up for your hunt date, there is no refund.

Can I change my hunt date?
Once you pay and are given a hunt date, you cannot change the hunt date and there are no refunds if you are unable to attend the hunt for any reason. You can designate a substitute youth hunter if the primary hunter is unable to attend.
