What is the hunter skills challenge?
A fun skills challenge to see how well you can perform in a multitude of shooting and hunting skills activities. All equipment is provided but you may use your own shotgun for the trap and skeet shooting. To see a full description of all of the activities, click here>>
Where is Waterloo Gun & Bocci club?
The Waterloo Gun & Bocci club is located at 4343 North Ashley Lane in Stockton. The site is also known as the Stockton Trap & Skeet club. There are lots of shooting stations and a huge lawn area with lots of shade. Lots of fun for the whole family as we celebrate the upcoming waterfowl season.
What ages and abilities are appropriate for the skills challenge?
The skills challenge is designed to test all ages and abilities. Come have some fun and try it.
What will the skills challenge cost?
The skills challenge costs $25 for pre-registration and will be $35 the day of the event. All guns, bows, ammunition, targets are included. You may choose to bring your own shotgun to the event but archery and pellet guns will be provided to level the playing field for those skills. You can register online or mail in the flyer. Mail is registrations must be received at the office by September 15th.
What do I need to bring?
All guns, eye and ear protection, ammo, and supporting materials will be provided. Lunch will be available for $5 for participants and spectators.
What if I don't want to participate in the skills challenge?
The Expo is free and there will be lots of booths to shop for new gear, decoys, calls or talk to outfitters and plan your 2010-11 waterfowl hunts. There will be a huge raflle and CWA merchandise booth to shop and buy your federal and state duck stamps. There will also be shooting available (for a fee, no ammo provided) at additional trap, skeet and sporting clays range areas. Basically, a little something for everyone.
