California Waterfowl Camp Program Wins Prestigious Award

California Waterfowl Youth Camp Coordinator George Oberstadt was recently recognized by the California Department of Fish and Game with the prestigious Director’s Achievement Award for his work to develop youth hunter camps that make a difference in the lives of hundreds of youth each year in California.

Hunter Camps		Outdoor Adventures Days
Hunter camps involve 2-4 days of hunter skills training, including waterfowl hunting, hands-on shooting, wildlife conservation, and much more to develop life-long hunting skills. Hunter Skills Development and Women's Camps
In an effort to retain young hunters and to recruit hunting families, California Waterfowl also hosts hunters skills development days including shooting clinics, calling clinics, youth hunts and women's events. For more information, click here>>

About CWA's Youth Camps Program

CWA's Approach
Provide a flexible and accessible youth camp program to develop life-long connections and interests in outdoor recreation and wildlife. CWA has partnered with duck clubs, shooting ranges, wildlife refuges and passionate volunteers throughout the state to create a plethora of youth oriented events. There are events designed to introduce new hunters to hunting as well as continue the development of hunting skills after you have your hunting license.
