CWA held its second of two camps at Mandeville Island in late July. Decoy painting, archery, fishing, shotgun and rifle shooting were all anxiously awaited activities. |
The advanced campers had already done a little shooting before camp, but with expert instruction from CWA employee George Oberstadt, they quickly improved their skills. |
| CWA Volunteer Bill Mays brought his duck boat out for everyone to see what the real thing is like. |
After showing his boat to the campers, he ran the duck calling, an important skill to be proficient at. |
| Waiting to go duck banding, the campers got their lines wet and managed some nice Bass! |
After a long weekend in the hot delta sun, taking a dip was a big hit. |
| CWA Volunteer, Matt Bronson, gave a talk on surviving in the wilderness, which was based on real-life experience. |
Another great camp, with fun had by all. Much thanks to all of the CWA volunteers and to Clint Womack and Tony Marnell of Mandeville Island. |
