MANDEVILLE CAMP

CWA held its first of two camps at Mandeville Island in late July. Decoy painting, archery, shotgun and rifle shooting were all anxiously awaited activities.

Shooting clay pigeons is a tough challenge, but with instruction from CWA volunteers, the campers got the hang of it.

CWA volunteer Pete Margiotta taught archery to the eager to learn campers.

Rifle shooting is always a challenge, but being proficient at multiple shooting positions something that is difficult to do.

Showing off her sharp-shooting talent.

Decoy painting and head flocking was a great activity, and a new experience for campers and many volunteers as well.

Gene Weckman from California Department of Fish and Game had lunch with the campers and answered many enforcement questions.

Great volunteers and campers made for nother great camp, with fun had by all. Much thanks to the staff at Mandeville Island.
