Dominic Bachman led the youths on a wildlife tour to take in some of the beautiful views on the refuge.

These youths, led by Kyle Spragens are exercising their ‘nesting instincts’ just like the birds in the Nest Mania activity.

Master carver Bill Pinches and Mike Peters led the decoy painting activity. 

Volunteers Ray Smith and Jessica Pouder (from HSU) worked with youths at the Wetland Discovery station showing how wetlands clean our water.

BB gun and pellet gun volunteers Sporty Pair (who missed opening day of deer season) and Orlando Roca showed the youths offhand, benchrest and sitting shooting positions.

CWA volunteer Susan Wilson’s energy and passion made for a great day for 36 youths and all of the volunteers.
