California Waterfowl - Water Law and Policy

Bringing Water to the Birds

Getting water to the right place at the right time is crucial for the 10 million migrating waterfowl that live in, winter in or pass through our state. That’s why California Waterfowl takes an active role in water issues throughout the state that affect waterfowl and wetlands habitat. Recently, California Water has hired a director of water law and policy, whose job is to advocate for the organization’s interests on water issues with state and federal agencies, as well as to participate in coalitions with other environmental and conservation groups on water issues.
