Becoming an Outdoors Woman - Fly Fishing Weekend

Spend an exciting 3-days in beautiful Burney, CA (Shasta County) learning to Fly Fish at Wilderness Unlimited private fishing Bidwell Ranch.  There are introductory and intermediate workshops (for past attendees) to get started and learn about this exciting outdoor sporting activity.  This comprehensive workshop covers all of the basics of fly fishing; casting, reading the water, entomology, conservation, fly tying, knots, landing and releasing and plenty of hands-on practice. All fishing equipment will be provided. This workshop has room for both beginners and intermediates.  A beautiful outdoor setting make this workshop a "can't miss"  opportunity.

 

Bidwell Ranch, near Burney, is a privately owned ranch with five crystal clear ponds that are fed by Lost Creek and home to native trout. Accommodations are campsites and inside toilet facilities.  You are responsible for some meals*, fishing license** and camping gear***. 

 

Cost:  $300

 

Itinerary

Thursday

Arrive between 4pm-6pm for camp setup, orientation, and smores

Eat dinner on your own or bring food to eat at camp

** Minimum 2-day fishing license required.
